Who is San Diego attorney Deborah Garvin's lawyer?

Her attorney of record is still on the calendar, but
he's staying as far away from his "client" as
possible. So would I, if I were he.

The San Diego Superior Court (see notice below) says attorney Gabriel
Hedrick (Handal & Associates) is Garvin's attorney of record.

Attorney John McCormick (McCormick & Mitchell) showed up in court on Deborah K.
Garvin's behalf on February 16, 2007, without filing a change of attorney form. And
Hedrick won't even talk about the case to the plaintiff!

A few days ago (March 2007), the plaintiff called Gabriel Hedrick's employer, Handal &
Associates, told the receptionist who she was, and asked if Hedrick is employed at the
firm. She was told that her question was odd, and was given the run around.

"Why are you trying to keep this a secret?" Plaintiff asked.
"After all, the California Bar Association lists Handal & Associates on the Internet as
Gabriel G. Hedrick's employer.

"Then why are you asking us?" the spokeswoman asked.

"To find out if the listing is up to date," she said.

"Yes, it's up to date," she told Plaintiff.

But Hedrick, the attorney of record in the case, won't respond to Plaintiff's recent fax and
email.

Is Gabe Hedrick ashamed to be associated with Deborah Garvin and Michael Carlson? I
wouldn't blame him.

But why hasn't a change of attorney form been filed with the court?
